Warriors centre Peta Hiku has knocked back interest from Super League to re-sign on a one-year deal.
Hiku, 27, has agreed to terms for 2021 after playing a key role in the Warriors' improved performances over the past six weeks.
His form resurgence on the team's right edge has coincided with his family joining him in the club's COVID-19 bubble on the Central Coast.
Hiku is understood to have fielded interest about a move back to England, where he played with Warrington in 2015.
He spoke last month of scouring his options both in the NRL and abroad but had always made staying in New Zealand his first priority.
"Peta deserves his new contract. He has been in stellar form the last six weeks and has worked really hard on his game," Warriors recruitment manager Peter O’Sullivan said.
"He brings unbelievable skill and try scoring involvement whether it be setting them up or scoring them himself.
"It’s no coincidence the wingers outside him are always around the top of the try-scoring list."
Hiku flicks it to Pompey
Hiku has made 59 appearances for the Warriors since joining the club in 2018.
He was long regarded as the one that got away as a junior, with Manly signing him out of the Warriors under 20s before he knocked back a lucrative offer to return home in 2014 as well.
Hiku's retention comes after the signing of Dragons centre Euan Aitken on a three-year deal from next season.
