Gold Coast have continued to bolster their roster for 2021 by re-signing Kiwi international Kevin Proctor.

The veteran back-rower, who will make his return from a four-game suspension for his biting Sharks opponent Shaun Johnson on Saturday against Manly, will be part of a formidable pack next season which will also boast the likes of new recruits David Fifita, Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Herman Ese'ese.

Proctor, who was a graduate of Palm Beach Currumbin High School, returned to the Gold Coast in 2017 after playing 179 NRL games with the Melbourne Storm.

The 31-year-old, who has played 250 NRL games and 24 Tests for New Zealand, has made 10 appearances for the Titans in 2020 and is playing some of the best footy of his career.

Titans coach Justin Holbrook was thrilled to have Proctor remaining at the club.

"Kevin has played some of the best football of his career this season and I look forward to that continuing next season," Holbrook said.

"It is great to have a local junior continue at our club and I know Kevin wants the club to be successful. He is excited to be part of that."

The 12th-placed Titans are gunning for a fourth straight win this weekend and could finish the season as high as ninth after their late-season surge.
