Andrew Farriss joins grand final entertainment

Legendary Australian musician Andrew Farriss will perform live before Sunday's NRL grand final.

Farriss, an instrumentalist who was a founding member of iconic Aussie band INXS, has been announced as part of matchday entertainment.

He was the main songwriter and composer for INXS as well as a keyboardist and backing vocalist. Andrew released his Love Makes the World solo EP at the start of October and has a self-titled album slated for March 2021.

"I am excited to be a part of such a prestigious and iconic Aussie sporting event," Farriss said.

The pre-match entertainment will also include special tributes to the late, great Arthur Summons and the 2020 class of retiring players, as well as the Ken Stephen and Veronica White medals presentation.

Farriss, who in 2016 was inducted into the Australian songwriters Hall of Fame, sold more than 50 million records with INXS.
