MacDougall helps Shake things up for State of Mind program

The NRL’s State of Mind program and the waistline of league fans will benefit from a new partnership between the game’s governing body and the makers of The Man Shake and The Lady Shake.

A business set up by premiership-winning former NSW and Australia representative Adam MacDougall, The Man Shake and The Lady Shake will donate a percentage of new registrations for the products to the State of Mind program.

Also, The Man and Lady Shake will donate a percentage all product sales and sign-ups to the Man and Lady Challenge.

The challenge is an at home exercise and nutrition program that allows participants to train with NRL legends from their own home.

MacDougall, the CEO and founder of The Man and Lady Shake, is thrilled to be involved with the State of Mind program.

"I’m really excited to be partnering up with the NRL to help rugby league fans get healthier and fitter while still enjoying a beer and burger and cheering on their team," he said.

"I am also happy that I can also support such a wonderful charity in State of Mind in a world where mental health continues to affect so many Australians."

With a loyal customer base well into the hundreds of thousands, The Man Shake and Lady Shake have changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of Australians by providing a healthy, low in sugar, high in protein shake option that is having outstanding results.

NRL Head of Partnerships Jaymes Boland-Rudder said MacDougall’s success with The Man Shake and The Lady Shake venture was a wonderful link to partner with State of Mind.

"Adam is a real success story, and his journey, particularly in recent years with The Man Shake, has been inspirational," Boland-Rudder said.

"To have Adam and his team commit such a significant amount to our important mental wellbeing program is a phenomenal gesture.

"Adam should be very proud of his achievements, and to be able to give back to the game he has been part of for long is a testament not only to his success as a player, particularly his dedication, but also his willingness to think of the bigger picture.

"A healthy lifestyle and mental health awareness are incredibly important messages which our game and Adam’s successful venture help to propagate."

MacDougall launched The Man Shake following his analysis of many aspects of the health industry, including his concerns with the amount of sugar in so-called health products.
