The family of iconic Kangaroos player Tommy Raudonikis have accepted an offer from the Australian Rugby League Commission (ARLC) for a memorial service to be held in his honour.

The Memorial Service will be held between 11am and noon on Monday (April 19) at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

ARLC Chairman Peter V’landys AM said the Memorial Service would be a fitting way to honour a legend of the game.

“Tommy was one of a kind. He was the people’s champion who reached the pinnacle of our game, it’s fitting the rugby league community will come together on Monday to pay tribute to one of the most popular players in the game’s history,’’ he said.

“We have worked with Tommy’s family to ensure a Memorial that fittingly celebrates a legend of our game.”

Members of the public are welcome to attend the Memorial. Entry will be via the Members Entrance, Gate A on Driver Avenue. Tickets are not required.

Members of the public are requested to arrive by 10.30am.
