Warriors winger Ken Maumalo.

The Wests Tigers have signed Warriors winger Ken Maumalo, effective immediately.

The 26-year-old New Zealand international was released from the remainder of his Warriors contract in order to make the move to the Tigers, where he'll link up with Kiwis coach Michael Maguire.

"I've worked closely with Ken over a number of years now at international level and it's great to see him now join Wests Tigers," Maguire said.

"Ken is a great family man who will fit in well with the squad we have here at Wests Tigers, and I look forward to welcoming him to the club."

Maumalo's new deal will keep him at the Tigers through to the end of the 2023 season.

"Ken had an opportunity to secure a long-term future for himself and his family beyond next season but we couldn't offer anything further at this stage," Warriors CEO Cameron George said.

"He has made a huge contribution to the Vodafone Warriors and we wish him and his family all the best for the future."

Maumalo scored 41 tries in 105 matches for the Warriors since making his NRL debut with the club in 2015. He has scored three tries in four appearances for Samoa and five tries in nine Tests for New Zealand.
