NRL Fantasy Winners & Losers: Round 20

A Turbo-charged finish to the round produced one of the highest individual scores in fantasy history as countless head-to-head clashes no doubt swung on who did and did not own – or captain – superstar manly fullback Tom Trbojevic.

Winners

Turbo was simply ridiculous as he dismantled Cronulla on Monday night, scoring three tries and setting up three more with 15 busts on his way to 137 – the second-highest score in history after the 144 registered by Nathan Cleary earlier this year.

Three more players scored over 90, though not necessarily the ones you'd expect with Jordan Riki (97) producing a career-best game and Euan Aitken (93) making a very successful switch to the back row.

Latrell Mitchell (93) was back to his early-season best with 15 busts and two tries against the Dragons.

His teammates Adam Reynolds (80), Jai Arrow (78) and Cody Walker (76) also enjoyed that match.

Braydon Trindall (87) and Adam Doueihi (79) were immense in their respective sides' losses while the returning Harry Grant (75) didn't miss a beat.

Alex Twal (75), Luciano Leilua (74), Isaiah Papali'i, Morgan Harper and Mitch Barnett (all 72), Tyson Gamble (71), Joey Manu and Josh Jackson (70) also scored heavily.

Losers

Given the issues with centres this year and Jack Bird's one-game suspension on the back of recent injuries to the likes of Billy Smith, coaches didn't need Monday's revelation that Jesse Ramien would be sitting out with an ear infection.

Coaches still running with Daine Laurie also copped a blow on Friday when the fullback suffered a broken leg very early on against the Warriors, going off without having scored a point and will now miss the rest of the year.

Connor Watson (22) had to cover both hooker and fullback in his worst score of the year, with that hooker spell coming while Jayden Brailey (35) was off getting a HIA.

A heavy loss to the Storm was bad news to Viliame Kikau (17) owners while Nicho Hynes (29) went off looking troubled by an ankle issue though came back to finish the game.

Corey Harawira-Naera (33) was well down on recent form, Angus Crichton (41) also scored well below his average and David Fifita (43) did not have the same impact off the bench as he did a week earlier.

Other injury blows include Ben Hunt (41) who will now miss at least a month and Kotoni Staggs, who scored an impressive 61 but will now miss the rest of the season.
