There are now only four weeks left in the regular season and the finals picture got murkier instead of clearer after round 21.
The 12th-placed Warriors and 13th-placed Wests Tigers kept their flickering playoff hopes alive with crucial wins over Cronulla and Canterbury while Parramatta managed to cling onto fourth spot due to the Roosters and Manly also losing.
Even North Queensland are still a remote chance, six points off eighth spot, but must win their final four games and hope other results go their way.
And the Telstra Premiership has been given a boost with the lockdown in South-East Queensland ending at 4pm on Sunday.
