The Eels had some solid performers last in both NRL and Fantasy terms but some roster and scoring changes are unlikely to favour their top Fantasy players.

Big Guns

Isaiah Papali'i ($782k) enjoyed a stunning breakout season in 2021, proving quickly to be Parramatta's most important forward, playing big minutes in the middle or on an edge, busting and making plenty of tackles and proving dynamic in attack and defence.

Reed Mahoney ($780k) further improved on his ball-playing skills to go alongside his huge defensive workload and is the only other Eel to start over $700k this year.

Bargain Hunter

Even with a few departures from their top-30, the players likely to fill Parramatta's 17 early in the year have most of their value priced in already. Will Penisini ($350k) is an obvious target; the talented centre did his best attacking work last year in the finals and only played three games in the regular season which contribute to his 2022 starting price.

Rule changes: Kick metres scoring change

Cheapies

With Haze Dunster out for the season and Maika Sivo recovering from a knee reconstruction, Sean Russell ($260k) looks likely to get a shot on the wing.

Be Wary

Papali'i was a fan and Fantasy favourite last year but would need a massive year just to maintain his current value and with his future already decided elsewhere, his responsibility could decrease this year. Ryan Matterson ($683k) is another Fantasy favourite who could yet sign elsewhere for 2023 and beyond and is no guarantee to get the minutes to maintain his current price.

Rule changes: Offloads and tackle breaks
