Newcastle duo Edrick Lee and Dominic Young stole the show in Round 16 with an incredible eight tries between them, while Fantasy regulars Nicho Hynes and Damien Cook continue to produce the goods.

However, it wasn't all smooth sailing across the weekend, with the likes of Kotoni Staggs, Josh Addo-Carr and Will Penisini all struggling to find the lofty point-scoring heights that coaches will have wanted from their outside backs.

Round 16 Winners

With an incredible five tries in Newcastle's win over the Titans, Edrick Lee topped all players for the round with 89 points — narrowly edging out Roosters prop Siosiua Taukeiaho, who scored a try to record 85 points in his side's loss to Penrith.

Wests Tigers forward Joe Ofahengaue continued his recent run of form as a mountain of defensive work from the former Origin representative took him to his highest score of the year with 84 points.

Damien Cook came in next with 74 points as the Rabbitohs downed the Eels, while Dominic Young's hat-trick saw him also record the same score.

Nicho Hynes
produced a kicking masterclass in the wet to finish with 72 points in Cronulla's win over the Bulldogs, while Shaun Johnson bounced back to his best as the Warriors returned home to Mt Smart Stadium, scoring 71 points.

Tohu Harris (68 points) and Euan Aitken (67 points) were also winners from the Warriors' homecoming win; Alex Johnston (69 points) and Jai Arrow (68 points) were likewise beneficiaries from South Sydney's dominant performance.

The top four most owned players in the game, Hynes (46.8), Nathan Cleary (36.6), Tolu Koula (34.1) and Izack Tago (32.1 percent) all scored above 50, with Koula enjoying a $49k price rise as a result of his 58 points against the Storm.

Round 16 Losers

Josh Schuster's cameo off the bench came at the wrong time for Manly, with the edge forward scoring just one point to fall $56k in price from Round 16 alone.

Tom Opacic (-4 points), Moses Mbye (1 point), Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow (3 points) and Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad (6 points) all played limited minutes for their respective sides coming off the bench and similarly struggled to score points.

Titans prop Jarrod Wallace was sent off against the Knights, leaving him with a final score of just six, while popular cheapie Grant Anderson managed just eight points as Manly dominated the Storm for 75 minutes to claim a much-needed win.

Brisbane trio Te Maire Martin (10), Jake Turpin (11) and Kotoni Staggs (13) struggled, as did Bulldogs duo Josh Addo-Carr and Aaron Schoupp, who both scored 14 points in miserable conditions against the Sharks on Saturday.

This week's edition of Burton's Bombs

Despite Penrith's win, Stephen Crichton only managed 28 points while Matt Burton's 38 was his lowest score since Round 7. Burton was one of many playmakers who struggled in wet and windy conditions across Sydney with Jarome Luai (21 points) and Matt Moylan (20) also both coming in well under their season average.
