Season shapers: Titans

Opening month

The Titans will kick off their season with an away trip to Leichhardt Oval to face Wests Tigers on March 5. They may as well remain in Sydney that week after being scheduled another away fixture, this time against the Dragons in Kogarah. They'll return to host the Storm at Cbus Super Stadium in Round 3 before an all-Queensland derby against the Cowboys in Townsville in Round 4.

Origin watch

The Titans' second bye comes in the lead-up to Origin I, giving them a chance to freshen up and prepare for a clash against the Rabbitohs just three days after the series opener. They'll back it up with another home game when they host Wests Tigers before their final bye prior to Origin II. The Titans will meet the Dolphins three days out from Origin III and then travel to Parramatta to take on the Eels at CommBank Stadium to end the representative period.

The run home

The Titans face some tough opposition in their final month of the regular season with clashes against the Sharks (away), Panthers (home), Storm (away) and Bulldogs (home). While the 2022 season is only a guide, the Titans will need to get off to a strong start in 2023 to not have to rely on results going their way in the run towards the finals.

And another thing...

The scheduling gods haven't missed, ensuring all Queensland teams are playing each other twice in 2023. This includes competition newcomers the Dolphins, who the Titans meet in Round 8 and Round 19.
