The Knights are set to be without winger Greg Marzhew for the next 4-6 weeks following confirmation he requires surgery on a wrist injury.
The 26-year-old was diagnosed with a fractured scaphoid following last week's golden point loss to the Cowboys, in which North Queensland back-rower Heilum Luki also suffered an ankle injury that requires surgery.
Luki is expected to miss 6-8 weeks, continuing what has been a frustrating run with injury for the Samoa international over the past couple of years.
The Storm are once again without star five-eighth Cameron Munster as he battles a groin injury, while young gun Sua Fa'alogo wasn't considered for Melbourne in Round 3 after picking up a left ankle injury while playing for the North Sydney Bears last weekend.
The Raiders welcome back captain Elliott Whitehead for their trip to face the Warriors in Christchurch, with the Englishman set for his first taste of NRL action for the year after overcoming a calf injury.
He's joined the 17 by veteran fullback Jordan Rapana, who is good to go after leaving the field following a suspected head knock last week, while centre Seb Kris will miss the game due to failing a head injury assessment in Round 2.
New recruit Justin Olam will have his first outing as a Wests Tigers player after overcoming a pre-season knee issue, with his return a timely one given the club has just lost fellow back Star To'a for the next two months due to an ankle injury that required surgery.
They'll face a Sharks side in Round 3 buoyed by the return of Royce Hunt from illness but still without fellow big-bopper Braden Hamlin-Uele (knee).
Despite hopes he would be OK for the Multicultural Round meeting with the Titans, Bulldogs flyer Josh Addo-Carr remains sidelined by a shoulder injury and is joined on the sidelines by prop Poasa Faa'mausili (concussion).
Also sitting out Round 3 after entering the NRL's concussion protocol are Storm forward Christian Welch, Dragons rake Jacob Liddle, Parramatta's Bailey Simonsson and Roosters playmaker Luke Keary.
While he will miss the grand final rematch with the Broncos on Thursday night, Panthers prop James Fisher-Harris has been cleared of serious injury after failing to play beyond the 25th minute of the Round 2 win over the Eels.
Casualty Ward By Club
The club confirmed on Monday that scans revealed there was no structural damage to his shoulder and the 28-year-old will be assessed on a week-to-week basis.
Warriors forward Marata Niukore is nearing a return to team training as he works back from a minor foot fracture, while the club says fullback Charnze Nicoll-Klokstad is “progressing well in his final stage of high intensity running” and eyeing a return within the next fortnight.
The Broncos will be without captain Adam Reynolds for an indefinite period after scans revealed he has aggravated a knee injury suffered in Round 1.
