2024 NRL Signings Tracker: Sea change for RCG; Williams joins Eels

The Titans have announced that experienced prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard will join the club in 2025 on a three-year deal.

The 31-year-old comes to the Gold Coast with 221 NRL games under his belt at Penrith and Parramatta, alongside Origin and International representative experience with the Blues and Kangaroos.

“It’s great to have Reagan join us in 2025,” Titans coach Des Hasler said.

“He’s a no-nonsense front rower with a high work rate and has been a mainstay in the NRL for the past decade.

Parramatta meanwhile have announced the signing of Jack Williams on a three-year deal, starting from next season.

The backrower joins the club after a strong season with the Sharks, playing 25 games, including three match of this year's finals series.

“Jack is a player who has been on our radar for a while," Parramatta Eels General Manager of Football Mark O’Neill said.

"His experience and leadership qualities will be great for our culture and align with how we want to play going forward. We're pleased to continue building a strong list ahead of the 2025 preseason for the NRL program."

Hard-working forward Josh Curran has been rewarded for a stellar season at the Bulldogs, with the club extending his contract to the end of 2026.

Arriving at Belmore from the Warriors this season, Curran played 24 games, averaging 120 run metres and 31 tackles per game.

"Josh has clearly played some of his best football this year and become an integral part of the team as both a major contributor on and off the field," said Bulldogs general manager of football Phil Gould.

The Dolphins have struck a double blow in the recruitment race with former Blues Origin rep Daniel Saifiti and promising outside back Max Feagai joining Kristian Woolf's squad in 2025.

Saifiti joins the Dolphins in 2025 after 183 games as a Knight as well as seven Origins for NSW between 2019 and 2021.

"We can't wait to see Daniel in our colours next year and are excited about what he will add to our already formidable forward pack," said Dolphins CEO Terry Reader.

"It is probably impossible to replace someone who has had the amazing career of Jesse Bromwich, but we know we have done extremely well in bringing in Daniel to add to our depth."

Feagai has joined the Dolphins on a two-year deal and will look to add to his career tally of 23 NRL games.

The 23-year-old played 12 games for the Dragons in 2024.

"Max is just the kind of recruit we are looking for to add depth and youth to our squad," said Reader.

"Importantly, this year he played the most NRL games of any year in his career."

The Knights have re-signed hard-working forward Mat Croker through to the end of the 2025 season, which will be his fifth season in the top grade at Newcastle.

Croker debuted in 2021 and has gone on to play 59 games for the Knights.

“Mat is an integral part of the team and a major contributor both on and off the field," said Knights director of football Peter Parr.

“We are delighted that someone of his quality is remaining at the club.”

The Rabbitohs have extended the contract of outside back Isaiah Tass through to the end of the 2027 season.

Tass has played 47 NRL games since making his debut for the Rabbitohs against the Bulldogs in Round 6, 2022 season. He also represented the Indigenous All Stars in 2023.

“Isaiah works incredibly hard on his game and is equally dedicated to his football on the field as he is to his family off the field," said Rabbitohs head of football Mark Ellison.

The Titans have extended versatile forward Chris Randall through until the end of the 2027 season.

"I’ve really enjoyed my time here on the Gold Coast and I’m thrilled to be remaining a Titan until the end of 2027," Randall said.

"I took a chance moving up here at the end of 2022 and it’s really paid off. It’s a great place to raise my young family and I have full belief that we can bring success to the Coast in the next few years."

Meanwhile, playmaker Dean Hawkins is headed for the Eels on a two-year deal through to the end of 2026.

Hawkins made his NRL debut with Souths in 2021 and went on to play 14 games in Rabbitohs colours. He also steered the club to the 2023 NSW Cup title.

“Dean is a talented player who adds depth to our backline. We look forward to welcoming him to our Club in a few weeks to commence pre-season training with our NRL squad," said Eels GM of football Mark O'Neill.

The Raiders have extended the contract of Kaeo Weekes until the end of the 2027 season.

In his first season with the club, Weekes played 17 matches for the club, showing his versatility and skill in both the halves and at fullback.

“I want to thank the club for giving me the opportunity to come down to Canberra. It was a big step to move down here away from my partner and family to chase my dream, but I’m so grateful I came,” Weekes said.

“It’s been a really enjoyable first year for me, I love this club and what they’re building for the future and I’m looking forward to building on what I’ve started over the next few years.”

Elsewhere, the Rabbitohs have extended the contracts of prop Shaquai Mitchell and back-rower Ben Lovett until the end of the 2025 season.

Mitchell has played 20 NRL games since making his debut for the Rabbitohs against the Sea Eagles in 2022 and has also represented the Indigenous All Stars on three occasions.

“Shaq has worked incredibly hard to get to where he has in his career so far,” said Rabbitohs head of football Mark Ellison..

“He is very skilful for a big man and he will play an important role in our team over the coming seasons."

Lovett, meanwhile, has played three NRL games since making his debut against Manly in Round 4 of the 2023 season.

This comes on the back of the Bunnies throwing a lifeline to former Sea Eagles utility Josh Schuster for next season on a one-year contract.

“We think a comeback to the NRL with our club will be just what Josh needs to get his career back on track,” Ellison said.

“We’re confident that he can use this second opportunity at NRL level, at a new club with new coaches, new teammates and renewed expectations, to resume his NRL career and achieve his and the team’s goals."

All Blacks Rugby 7s star Moses Leo will join Melbourne Storm’s NRL squad from the 2026 season after signing a two-year contract.

Leo, who represented New Zealand at the recent Paris Olympic Games, has been identified by Storm’s recruitment team as a player who can fill a number of outside back positions, including wing, centre and fullback.

The Eels have extended the contracts of Charlie Guymer, Saxon Pryke and Richard Penisini for two years until the end of the 2026 season.

All three players were members of the SG Ball premiership team in 2023 and have been rewarded with contract extensions for the development squad in 2025 with Guymer and Penisini moving into the Top 30 in 2026.

Guymer played two NRL games in 2024, making his debut off the bench in Round 18 against Souths before lining up at lock a week later against the Titans.

“Charlie has wonderful leadership qualities and the characteristics you want in a player both on and off the field. We have no doubt he will thrive during pre-season training and be ready to play more NRL games next year,” said Eels general manager of football Mark O’Neill.

National Schoolboy Cup winners Sam Stephenson and Zane Harrison have been rewarded for leading Palm Beach Currumbin to victory in last week's final with development contracts at the Gold Coast Titans.

The pair have long been in the club's system and trained with the first-grade side last pre-season and will take a major step towards NRL debuts when they join the squad on a full-time basis.

Harrison won the Peter Sterling Medal in last week's last gasp victory over Patrician Brothers Blackton while Stephenson is preparing to play two matches for the Australian Schoolboys in October.

The Titans have also announced Tukimihia Simpkins will join the Gold Coast's development roster in 2025 for the next two seasons.

The New Zealand-born prop made his first-grade debut and played five games with the Wests Tigers in 2021 and 2022, before moving to Brisbane in 2024 and dominating in the Hostplus Cup with North Devils to earn a full-time contract again.

Raiders hooker Zac Woolford is leaving the national capital to join Huddersfield in the Super League competition.

Woolford has signed a one-year deal with the Giants and farewells the Green Machine after three seasons and 39 NRL matches for the club.

The Eels have confirmed that prop Reagan Campbell-Gillard has been granted a release from the final year of his contract to pursue an opportunity at another NRL club.

Campbell-Gillard joined the Eels in 2020 from the Panthers and went on to play 107 games for the blue and gold, including the 2022 grand final.

“I’ve really enjoyed my time at Parramatta, I’m grateful for the opportunities I’ve had and for the lifelong friendships I’ve made," Campbell-Gillard said.

“I also want to thank the passionate Eels fanbase, it’s been a pleasure playing in front of them and I’ve appreciated all their support over the years.”

Meanwhile, Wests Tigers have signed Jack Bird for two seasons from 2025.

The premiership winner has been exploring his options throughout the past month and ultimately decided to join Benji Marshall's rebuild at the Tigers.

Bird will depart the Dragons immediately and begin his time at his new club when pre-season kicks off in November and is contracted through to the end of the 2026 season.

“Jack is a very talented player, a very good person, and we’re thrilled that he’s decided to join us,” Marshall said.

“He has achieved a lot in the game and brings a wealth of experience to our young squad.

“We all look forward to welcoming Jack and his partner Mirae to the Wests Tigers.”
