A captaincy flop which impacted a huge chunk of Fantasy owners started the round off on a sour note, but success for a WFB favourite and some popular money makers gave plenty of reason to smile.

Here is the washup from a tricky weekend which might result in owners opting to punt a couple of big-money players who failed to perform.

Round 3 Winners

After a modest start to the year, the Tom Trbojevic we know and love in a Fantasy context returned in style with a 75-point haul which saw him finish equal top for Round 3.

Who else but Turbo

With a hand in four tries, two of which he scored himself, and a whopping 10 tackle busts, Turbo starred as the Sea Eagles got past the Eels on Thursday.

The following night it was Keaon Koloamatangi who led the way in his side's loss to the Roosters, hitting 75 to take his season average to 63.7, and at $742k he shapes as a popular pick up this week.

It was a rare round which saw three CTR players register scores in the top 10, with Campbell Graham, Kotoni Staggs and Matt Timoko all hitting 66.

Reece Robson and Harry Grant were the top scoring HOK options, with 74 and 70 respectively, while a huge game from Marcelo Montoya in the Warriors' win over the Cowboys saw him reward the two percent who have him with a 67.

Lachlan Miller is set for a couple of big price rises after scoring 63 in a performance for the Knights which saw him pop up everywhere in a loss to the Dolphins, while Storm EDG Eli Katoa continues to be one of the early season success stories, with a 58-point showing that crushed his break even of nine.

Miller goes coast to coast

Bulldogs rookie Jacob Preston continues to steal the show in the cash cow market, scoring 54 against the Wests Tigers to ensure another huge jump, while his teammate Paul Alamoti now has 96 points in his last two games, after setting up two tries en route to a 50 on the weekend.

Round 3 Losers

After being made the most captained player in Round 3 after a stellar opening fortnight, and some advice from yours truly, J'maine Hopgood had his minutes severely decreased by a mid-game substitution from coach Brad Arthur and finished with just 35 points.

It was a move out of the blue after the MID played every minute in the opening two rounds, and while it's far from panic time for Hopgood owners, it was a crushing blow for those who gave him the 'C'.

A suspected broken jaw in the opening minutes of the Raiders' win over the Sharks ruled Danny Levi out and left him with a score of just three. If confirmation comes of a broken jaw he faces a lengthy stint on the sidelines too.

Dolphins utility forward Ray Stone is owned by nearly 19 percent of teams and had a disappointing return from injury in a Fantasy sense, managing just eight points in a 26-minute stint, which included -6 points for missed tackles.

Popular WFB Will Warbrick didn't get much good ball in the Storm's loss to the Titans and had only 13 Fantasy points to show for it, and he may have bottomed out in terms of making money unless he can manage a breakout score in Round 4.

While it wasn't a disaster, Daly Cherry-Evans' 34 points on Thursday night will have owners worried, with his halves partner Josh Schuster playing a more prominent role close to the line and taking those try assist points.

Felise Kaufusi shapes as a sell after a sin-binning contributed to him scoring 12, and he now faces up to a month on the sideline through suspension.
