On the back of three-straight wins the Sharks have gone to the top of the NRL Power Rankings for the first time in 2023.

Cronulla ran riot in a 44-6 victory over the Cowboys last Thursday, with the result lifting them to second on the Telstra Premiership ladder and seeing them go up one place to assume the lead in the Power Rankings ahead of Magic Round.

They take the No.1 ranking from the ladder-leading Broncos, who have occupied top spot for most of 2023, but this week find themselves down in fourth after they were humbled by the Rabbitohs 32-6 on home soil in Round 9.

The Roosters are the big movers following their 14-0 shutout of the Warriors in Auckland, with the Tricolours leaping seven places to sit third in the rankings, two spots higher than their ladder position.

A win on the road to the Sea Eagles has the Titans up six places into seventh, while conversely for Manly it's meant they drop five spots to be this week's biggest fallers alongside the Panthers and Knights, with the latter now sitting at the very bottom of the rankings.

After moving clear of last place in the Power Rankings for the first time last week, the Wests Tigers picked up their opening win of the year and are now 14th, despite still sitting last on the ladder.

The biggest variance between Power Rankings standing and ladder position comes with the Raiders, who are 11th on the ladder but 6th in the rankings following three-straight wins.

Despite a 18-16 loss to the Bulldogs last Sunday the Dragons are the only side who remain unchanged from last week's rankings, remaining in 15th position which is where they also sit on the ladder.
