The best value for money WFB in the game and a bunch of keeper forwards are the big talking points for the Titans ahead of the new Fantasy season.

Jayden Campbell sits near the top of the list of sub-$500k players who could be genuine keepers in your squad, while David Fifita, Tino Fa'asuamaleaui and Beau Fermor – who is returning from a year out with an ACL injury – are likely to be among the top scorers in their position in 2024.

While Kieran Foran is locked in, the other halves spot is up in the air as new coach Des Hasler takes charge, with Tanah Boyd and Thomas Weaver set to battle it out. If it's Weaver that gets the nod, that could have major implications for what is already looking like a crowded HOK pool at the Titans, with Chris Randall and Sam Verrills also there, and you'd be wise to avoid any of those players in your squad for now.

Keep an eye too on possible cash cow Josiah Pahulu, who has been garnering praise from a host of his teammates through the pre-season, with the 19-year-old MID starting the year at basement price.

Titans 2024 NRL Fantasy guide

The big gun

The top scoring EDG in Fantasy last season with a 61.3 point average, David Fifita will be right in that territory again this year in a Titans team which should challenge for a spot in the eight. He was already having a good season just from base stats and tackle breaks before he really caught fire at the back end of the year and scored eight tries in his final 15 games. At this stage he's tracking to be one of the lesser owned elite EDG prospects too, with just 1.1 percent of sides having picked him up at the time of writing.

The bargain

After being a bit of a spare wheel at the Titans last year – with stints at fullback, five-eighth and coming off the bench – Jayden Campbell is set to be the first-choice No.1 at the Gold Coast this year and a cut-price keeper in Fantasy. In 2021 and 2022, when he played almost exclusively as a fullback, Campbell was a 43-point player who boasted good base stats. At $459k he is the cheapest likely starting fullback in the game right now and he will quickly jump in price through the first couple of months if his performances there are anything like they've been in the past.

Bye round outlook

Rounds 2, 13 and 17. The early bye means some will be tempted to hold off on bringing in Titans until later in the opening month of the competition, while they are among the seven teams who will sit out the first of the major bye rounds in Round 13. From Round 18 onwards they play every week, making Gold Coast players good pickups for the run home.
