Biography:

Tom Duffy grew up in Townsville, and played his junior football for the Centrals Rugby League Club where his natural playmaking instincts quickly became clear.

He was signed by the North Queensland Cowboys while still in Grade 11 at Ignatius Park College, and spent a season with the club’s ‘Young Guns’ before progressing to the NRL squad in 2022.

Duffy enjoyed a standout 2024 campaign with the Northern Pride, helping steer the side to the Queensland Cup minor premiership before they fell agonisingly short of a Grand Final berth.

His impressive season — highlighted by five tries, 33 try assists and 216 points — earned him the Halfback of the Year honour.

Duffy made his NRL debut for the Cowboys in Round 1 of 2025 and featured in six top-grade games across the season, showcasing his kicking finesse and composed game management.

Looking to take the next step in his development, Duffy signed a one-year deal with the Broncos for 2026, and said he was eager to learn from veteran halves Adam Reynolds and Ben Hunt as he continues to refine his craft.
