Hamilton-born Xavier Willison played his junior rugby league with the Whatawhata Wolves before being identified by the Broncos and signed with the Club's Academy as a 15-year-old.
He made his NRL debut a few years later as an 18-year-old in 2021, but his early career was tested by an ACL injury suffered just two-games later.
After working his way back through the Queensland Cup, the forward established himself as a regular in the NRL side across the 2024 and 2025 seasons.
During the Broncos’ 2025 premiership-winning campaign, Willison averaged 111 running metres and 46 post-contact metres per game, while completing 482 tackles at an impressive 95 per cent efficiency — despite missing several matches with a fractured forearm.
His standout performances were rewarded with selection for the New Zealand Kiwis, where he made his Test debut against Tonga at Eden Park in the 2025 Pacific Championships.
The young forward has committed his future to Brisbane, signing on with the Broncos through to the end of the 2027 season.
