Sione arrived at Wests Tigers mid-season in 2022 from Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles and is joined at the club by younger brothers Samuela and Latu. A powerful prop, Fainu is aiming to make his NRL debut in 2024 after making 26 appearances in two seasons for Western Suburbs Magpies in the NSW Cup.
