Stand With Jai

This July, Stand With Jai

The NRL has announced it will throw the World’s Biggest Birthday Party for Jai Arrow as the centrepiece of a series of fundraising activities to support his fight against motor neuron disease that will occur across the month of July.

The NRL and South Sydney Rabbitohs will also join forces for the “World’s Biggest Birthday Party” for the Rabbitohs’ clash with the Newcastle Knights at Accor Stadium on Sunday, July 12. The game coincides with Arrow’s 31st birthday.

Activity for the July 12 game includes:

  • A performance by the world’s most famous children’s group The Wiggles
  • Two children can attend the game for free with every adult ticket purchased
  • Be part of history as we aim to break the world record for party hats - secure yours with a donation at the game. Virtual birthday hats which can be secured with a donation of $11.66 (Jai Arrow’s Rabbitohs number)
  • A giant birthday cake
  • Take the celebration to the field with fans invited to take the field post-game.
  • The unveiling of the new South Sydney Rabbitohs mascots Scarlett, Oliver, Ruby and Jack.

Additionally, there will be support across NRL games in the month of July, which will include:

  • Budget Direct have committed a $1,000 donation for any try scored by South Sydney Rabbitohs through the month of July.
  • Coca-Cola Australia committed to a donation for every try scored across NRL and NRLW competitions, along with State of Origin, in July.
  • Trading Card licensee Select have committed $40,000 to encourage players to stand with Jai with an arrow gesture after tries.

“This will be a case of the game uniting behind our own,” Australian Rugby League Commission Chairman Peter V’landys AM said. “We are a family.

“Jai and his family need our help and they will get it. One of the best things about Rugby League is its ability to unite for an important cause and they do not get more important than this.

“On July 12, we will throw the biggest birthday party in the world for Jai. It will be a huge occasion with the whole game involved. This is not just for Rabbitohs and Knights fans - it’s for everyone in the game to get behind. Don’t bring presents. Bring a donation. And help Jai get through this with everyone in the Rugby League community behind him.”

All money raised through the Stand With Jai campaign and the World’s Biggest Birthday Party, along with other activity in July, will go towards supporting Jai and his family. Donate here today!
