The NRL today confirmed that it will work with the Titans to make inquiries into aspects of the video distributed on social media that featured two Gold Coast Titans players.

A spokesman said the inquiry will seek to understand what has occurred and to continue the game's efforts to educate players about the risks of associating with criminal and undesirable elements.

"At this stage that is the scope of the NRL's inquiries," a spokesman said.

"The Titans have had a highly successful year and the club's image should not be smeared by an incident where it appears there has been no breach of the law.

"The Titans are a proud club with strong governance who are making a real difference within their community.

"An incident of this nature should not overshadow the very positive year the club has had on and off the field."
