NRL 'Your local club' Road To Regions 2021                                                                                                                                  RUGBY LEAGUE IS COMING TO YOUR COMMUNITY!

As part of the NRL’s commitment to the heartlands of our game, the NRL 'Your local club' Road To Regions 2021 will see both former NRL stars and current NRLW players, take part in a broad range of community visits at eight regions across Australia.

The initiative targets regional and remote areas of Australia with the specific objective to support and empower rugby league communities, where no NRL club engagement is present, to ensure their success and to grow the game.

These visits include targeted educational programs at schools, visits to junior rugby league clubs, and participation in local community events.

The activities are geared toward improving the well-being of regional rugby league communities, especially those that are doing it tough. Regions were chosen based on a few key factors including visiting regions where no rugby league was played during 2020 due to COVID-19 restrictions and areas that have been impacted by natural disasters.

Following a challenging 2020 for our communities, the League Stars Inspire program will engage players, both past and present, to deliver health and wellbeing messages through the NRL’s League Stars Inspire Program including physical activities, resilience, teamwork and practising gratitude.

In 2021 we welcome Clubs NSW ‘Your local club’ as a major partner, helping to bring this initiative to life and connecting local club communities with the game.

The 2021 Road To Regions is also supported by the NSW Government.

Mitch Aubusson, Kurt Gidley, Kezie Apps, and Millie Boyle are some of the NRL Ambassadors and NRLW Players joining the tour with the focus on exciting, uniting and inspiring these local communities.
