Canberra Raiders star John Bateman relied on a couple of clever touches with his feet to score a four-pointer that claimed Try of the Week for Round 12.

Bateman twice put boot to ball before touching down just before the Steeden was set to roll over the touch in-goal line in a 12-10 win over the Bulldogs on Saturday.

Bateman claimed more than half of the nearly 1200 votes to take out the Try of the Week honours.

His fellow Raider Sebastian Kris was another contender while impressive Manly youngster Cade Cust scored a try that included more than half the players on his team touching the ball and Blake Ferguson was the beneficiary of some clever play from Mitchell Moses in the final nomination.
