The Canberra Raiders' round two clash against the Warriors will be the first leg of a historic double header at Eden Park with Super Rugby teams the ACT Brumbies and Auckland Blues to face off on the same night.

The NRL fixture will kick off at 3pm ADST (5pm local time) followed by the Brumbies and Blues at 5.35pm ADST (7.35pm local time).

Raiders CEO Don Furner said the club looked forward to being part of a unique fan experience, which is being labelled the "Codes of Auckland" event.

"The double header with the Brumbies at a world-class venue like Eden Park should draw a big crowd," Furner said.

"This history-making event is a chance for both codes to showcase their teams on the big stage and hopefully we see a Raiders and Brumbies double on the night."

The match is the Warriors' only home game at Eden Park, with nine at Mount Smart and one at Wellington plus the Suncorp Stadium game for Magic Round.

A Warriors statement described the move as uniting the "once-deeply-divided codes" following on from months of discussion between the clubs and Auckland Tourism Events and Economic Development.

"We have much in common as professional teams in international competition and we know that we have fans that follow both clubs," Warriors CEO Cameron George and Blues chairman Don Mackinnon said in a joint statement.

"Both clubs have worked together in recent years when the opportunity has arisen, and we have been trying to make this idea work for a couple of years.

"This year we trialled a single ticket promotion to both of our games on the same weekend and fans from both codes absolutely loved it.

"With both clubs playing Canberra teams on the same weekend, it was the perfect chance to give it a go. It's exciting and innovative and gives the Warriors and the Blues the unique opportunity to celebrate some of the best sporting entertainment that Auckland has to offer."
