All the Late Mail team news for week two of the Telstra Premiership finals and round two of the NRLW.

NRL - Eels v Rabbitohs, Saturday 7.50pm at Bankwest Stadium

Eels: Centre Michael Jennings has been stood down after a positive test, announced by the NRL on Saturday morning. The club has been granted an exemption to bring Haze Dunster back into the squad to replace Jennings in the backline.

Oregon Kaufusi and Daniel Alvaro are the final match-day cuts.

Winger Blake Ferguson has succumbed to a knee injury and will miss the sudden-death clash with Souths. Brad Takairangi comes into the starting side.

George Jennings has come in on the other wing for Maika Sivo (knee). Ray Stone is the new bench player replacing suspended forward Marata Niukore.

The Eels have won nine from 12 at Bankwest Stadium in 2020.

Gutherson to take onus on defence against Walker

Rabbitohs: Souths will start 1-17 after Steven Marsters and Hame Sele were the final omissions from the match-day squad.

Wayne Bennett has named the same 17 that defeated Newcastle. Jaydn Su'A has been listed to start and Liam Knight is on the bench.

Hooker Damien Cook clashed knees with Kalyn Ponga and hobbled at points of last week's second half but insisted it was nothing serious.

Winger Alex Johnston has scored eight tries in eight games against the Eels.

Troy Dargan and Patrick Mago were cut from the reserves 24 hours before kick-off.

NRLW - Dragons v Broncos, Saturday 4pm at Bankwest Stadium

Dragons: Shakiah Tungai (shoulder) is out, with Aaliyah Fasavalu-Fa'amausili named at five-eighth and Georgia Page joining the bench. Rikeya Horne also dropped out of the squad an hour before kick-off.

Maddison Weatherall and Jade Etherden were omitted 24 hours before kick-off.

Broncos: Lock Tarryn Aiken switches roles with star halfback Ali Brigginshaw, and Tallisha Harden starts in the second row with Jesski Elliston to come off the bench. Romy Teitzel and Tyler Birch were omitted from the squad on game day.

Five-eighth Raecene McGregor was stretchered off with a neck issue against the Warriors but thankfully is OK. Chante Temara and Zara Canfield were left out the day before the match.
