Knights: The return of back-rower Lachlan Fitzgibbon from a calf injury is timely with Tyson Frizell away on NSW Origin duty. The only other change to the side that pushed the Broncos to the limit sees Enari Tuala coming in on the wing for Greg Marzhew, who was not considered for selection due to failing to meet team standards after he missed the team bus the day after the loss to the Broncos.

Roosters: Joey Manu goes to fullback in the absence of skipper James Tedesco on Origin duty, Luke Keary shifts to five-eighth and youngster Sandon Smith is the new halfback. With Lindsay Collins in Maroons camp, Nat Butcher moves to prop, Sitili Tupouniua to second row and Naufahu Whyte is the new lock. Centre Billy Smith is back on deck after he was a late withdrawal from the Panthers game so Drew Hutchison goes back to the bench. Terrell May is the new face on the bench with Matt Lodge omitted.

Tigers: The loss of halfback Luke Brooks (hamstring) sees Brandon Wakeham shifting to No.7, Starford To'a named at five-eighth and Brent Naden returning in the centres. Asu Kepaoa also comes into the centres with Tommy Talau moved to interchange. With Api Koroisau (jaw) also out, Jake Simpkin takes over at hooker and teenager Tallyn Da Silva joins the bench for his NRL debut. The 18-year-old hooker was a member of Wests Magpies premiership-winning Harold Matthews Cup team last year. Stefano Utoikamanu's Blues call-up sees Fonua Pole move into the starting side at prop. Alex Seyfarth has been added to the bench.

Storm: With Cameron Munster, Harry Grant and Xavier Coates on Origin duty and Christian Welch suspended the Storm fields a vastly different line-up to the one that demolished the Sharks. Reimis Smith (hamstring) has been named in the centres but Justin Olam (head knock) is listed as 18th Man. Back-rower Eliesa Katoa (eye) is out so Tariq Sims joins the starting side. George Jennings comes in on the wing for his first game of 2023 and Jonah Pezet is the new five-eighth. Sharks: Despite the thumping at the hands of the Storm, coach Craig Fitzgibbon has resisted swinging the selection axe. The only change to his 17 is a forced one, with Royce Hunt out after suffering an ankle injury in Round 15 which requires surgery. Rookie Thomas Hazelton comes back into the squad on the bench and Oregon Kaufusi moves into the starting side to partner Braden Hamlin-Uele in the front row.

Bulldogs: Still no sign of forwards Raymond Faitala-Mariner (illness) or Luke Thompson (foot), who were rated chances of returning this week. After scoring a hat trick in his return from injury in reserve grade in Round 15, Braidon Burns comes in on the wing for Blues flyer Josh Addo-Carr. Chris Patolo is named to start at prop after being a late inclusion in the run-on side last Monday against the Eels.
