2025 Power for Change
Frank Winterstein’s Voice for Social Impact
Power for Change 2025 celebrates how Rugby League shapes lives - on and off the field. This year, we're proud to feature Frank Winterstein, retired NRL player and proud Pacific Islander. Winterstein’s story from player to advocate to ambassador and his role with the NRL community today within our Social Impact space is a powerful example of leadership.
Frank is a key voice in the Voice Against Violence program, using Rugby League to deliver workshops that educate young people on respect, healthy relationships, and standing up against domestic violence. His message is clear: our game has the platform to create lasting change.
Through his career, culture, and continued leadership, Frank represents the values Rugby League teaches - connection, character, and responsibility. His story is proof that when players stand up, speak out and take action, communities listen.
Power for Change - Introducing Frank Winterstein
Voice Against Violence is the NRL’s leading domestic violence primary prevention program delivered across Australia, Papua New Guinea, Tonga and Fiji, encouraging young people, rugby league players, coaches and administrators to stand up, speak out and take action about violence in their community.
National Rugby League respects and honours the Traditional Custodians of the land and pay our respects to their Elders past, present and future. We acknowledge the stories, traditions and living cultures of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples on the lands we meet, gather and play on.
