- State of Mind Advocate since 2018
Born in the NSW town of Lithgow, Wayde played junior football for the Lithgow Storm, before being recruited by the Penrith Panthers for the 2018 season.
The hooker played 11 matches, scoring one try in his debut season.
Wayde says he "has a passion for mental health".
It was this interest which led Wayde to decide to become an Advocate for the NRL's State of Mind program.
State of Mind aims to increase mental health literacy, reduce the stigma around mental illness, start positive conversation, and encourages individuals to seek assistance.
