After four entertaining matches to kick off the finals series, week two of the Telstra Premiership playoffs has a lot to live up to.

Fixtures for round two of the NRLW have also been announced.

In the NRL, Penrith and Melbourne are kicking back and relaxing for a week after advancing to the preliminary finals with wins over the Roosters and Eels respectively.

All playoff games are sudden-death scenarios for the rest of the year with round two kicking off on Friday night at the SCG when the Roosters take on Canberra in a rematch of the 2019 grand final combatants.

The winner of that match will take on the Storm the following Friday for a place in the grand final.

On Saturday, Bankwest Stadium will host both women's matches as well as the Eels up against South Sydney for the right to face Penrith in the preliminary final seven days later.

Public transport

Rail travel will not be integrated with ticket purchases due to the inability to conduct proper COVID-19 contact tracing if passengers do not tap on or off at train stations.

  • With stadium capacities increasing, fans are encouraged to consider all the available travel options ahead of time as public transport continues to operate at a reduced capacity to maintain physical distancing across the network.
  • Fans are encouraged to drive where possible and use the available car parks on-site and within walking distance of the venues. For the the SCG, options include the Entertainment Quarter car park, Driver Ave grass car parks and Anzac Parade Sydney Boys and Girls High School car parks, while there are car parks in Parramatta CBD within walking distance of Bankwest Stadium. Clearways will also be in effect on roads around the SCG so check signs carefully. Visit  livetraffic.com for more details.
  • Allow extra travel time on the roads and plan to arrive early as parking in the areas will be in high demand and traffic may be heavy during the evening peak.
  • If you're catching public transport fans are reminded that services will be especially busy during the Friday evening peak so allow plenty of time getting to the game as you may need to wait for the next service with available physical distancing capacity. Use an Opal card or contactless payment method when travelling on transport.
  • On Saturday, road closures will be in place prior to full-time on sections of O’Connell St, Ross St and Victoria Rd outside Bankwest Stadium. Be patient when leaving the game as roads will be busy. If you’re travelling home by taxi or ride share choose a pick up location away from the stadium.
  • Remember to practise physical distancing when on-board transport services and to look for the ‘green dots’ to find the safest places to sit or stand. Wearing a face mask while travelling on public transport is also strongly recommended and fans are encouraged to keep their face masks on until they reach their seats inside the stadiums.
  • Additional measures and staff will be in place around key transport hubs and venues to safely manage crowds arriving and leaving the game so be patient, practise physical distancing while in queues and follow the directions of staff on site.
