- Biography:
Luron Patea is a Samoan-Australian prop for the Penrith Panthers and a product of the club’s renowned pathways system. A dual-code junior who played both rugby union and league, he came through Penrith RSL Rugby Union and the Penrith Emus Colts, and played all his junior representative football with the Panthers (Harold Matthews, SG Ball and Jersey Flegg). He also earned Australian Schoolboys selection for the 2022 tour of Japan.
Patea had a breakout moment at Magic Round against Brisbane, scoring his first NRL try, and went on to make 13 appearances in the 2025 season as Penrith reached the preliminary finals. He is contracted with the Panthers until the end of 2027.
