Born in New Zealand and raised on the Gold Coast, Skyla Adams began her rugby league journey at Keebra Park State High School, quickly emerging as a promising young playmaker.
Adams joined the Broncos Academy in 2023, training alongside the NRLW squad before earning her debut the following season.
She stepped into the five-eighth role for two matches after an injury to Gayle Broughton, showcasing her composure and skill at the elite level.
A natural leader, Adams captained the Queensland Under 19 Women’s team in 2023 during her second year in the representative program and was subsequently selected in the Queensland senior women’s squad in 2024.
