- Biography:
Rugby league stalwart Ali Brigginshaw has been a pioneer of the women’s game long before the introduction of the NRLW.
Growing up in Ipswich, Brigginshaw began playing rugby league at just 10 years of age, progressing through boys’ representative teams until she was no longer eligible for selection.
Undeterred, she returned to the game and in the same year made her representative debuts for both Queensland and Australia.
When the NRLW competition launched, Brigginshaw was the first player signed to the Brisbane Broncos roster and has been at the heart of the Club ever since.
She captained the Broncos to the competition’s inaugural premiership and has remained at the helm as the Club claimed four titles.
The 2020 Dally M Medallist became the first player in NRLW history to reach the 50-game milestone and has since gone on to play almost 60 matches.
Brigginshaw is contracted through to the end of the 2026 season, which will mark the conclusion of her extraordinary rugby league career.
