Born in Townsville and raised in Tully, Romy Teitzel’s passion for rugby league was shaped from an early age while watching her father play for the North Queensland Cowboys.
Teitzel first joined the Brisbane Broncos in 2020 and returned to Brisbane in 2023 after spending two seasons with the Newcastle Knights.
In 2025, Teitzel played almost every minute of the premiership-winning campaign and at a representative level, has played 11 games for the Queensland Maroons.
Her commitment to the Club was recognised with a three-year contract extension, which will see her remain in Broncos colours through to the end of the 2027 season.
Away from rugby league, Teitzel works within the Broncos Community Department, helping deliver programs that create positive outcomes across Queensland and Northern New South Wales.
