A standout athlete in his youth, Ale first gained attention as a schoolboy rugby union player at Rotorua Boys' High School, where he played in the First XV alongside future Warriors teammate Hayze Perham. He went on to represent the New Zealand Schoolboys rugby league side and the Junior Kiwis in 2018.
Ale played 19 games during the 2023 NRL season, helping the Warriors finish 4th on the ladder and qualify for the finals. He followed this with 16 appearances in the 2024 season, in which the club finished 13th. In 2025, he was a key cog in the Warrior's 30–12 NSW Cup Grand Final victory over St. George Illawarra.
He is signed with the Penrith Panthers for the 2026 season.
