Mitchell Kenny is a three-time NRL premiership-winning hooker with the Penrith Panthers (2021–23), playing a vital role in one of the game’s most dominant eras. A local junior, he progressed through Penrith’s pathways and made his NRL debut in Round 1, 2019 in a win over Parramatta at Bankwest Stadium. His rise to first grade came while balancing part-time training, work as a club groundskeeper, and a Bachelor of Arts/Education.
Renowned for his toughness and defensive work rate through the middle, Kenny has become a trusted senior figure within the squad. He has captained the side in the absence of co-captains Nathan Cleary and Isaah Yeo, and regularly takes charge on-field with his communication and direction.
Away from football, Kenny enjoys the outdoors, with birdwatching becoming a regular part of his daily routine.
