Blaize Talagi is a dynamic and versatile playmaker who joined the Penrith Panthers on a three-year deal (2025–27) after debuting with the Parramatta Eels in 2024, where he earned the club’s Rookie of the Year award.
Talagi quickly established himself as Penrith’s first-choice five-eighth in 2025. Despite a delayed start due to shoulder surgery, he featured in 22 matches, producing six tries, 11 try assists and nine forced dropouts, highlighting his attacking creativity and composure.
A natural game-breaker, he delivered several standout performances, including a match-winning golden point effort against the Gold Coast, underlining his ability to produce in big moments.
At representative level, Talagi debuted for Samoa in 2024 and continued to develop on the international stage, featuring in the 2025 Pacific Championships.
Talagi is viewed as a key rising playmaker.
