- Biography:
Dutch international Linneke Gevers joined the Brisbane Broncos on a supplementary contract for the 2026 NRLW season, bringing an unconventional but inspiring journey to the Club.
The 28-year-old began her sporting career in rugby union in the Netherlands before seeking a new challenge and making the switch to rugby league.
Remarkably, her first experience in rugby league came on the international stage, representing the Netherlands in the Rugby League World Cup European Qualifiers against Greece, Italy, Ireland and Wales.
Her performances caught the attention of national coach Brett Davidson, who encouraged her to take the next step in her development by moving to Australia.
Within 10 months of arriving in Australia, she had earned her BMD Premiership debut with the Tweed Seagulls and became a standout performer, recognised by her teammates with the club’s Players’ Player award.
