When it comes to sheer guts and determination, Gordon Chan Kum Tong is as tough as they come.
With a family motto of ‘Doubt Not and To Fear Not to draw on, the 91 kilogram hooker oozes a level of professionalism, competitiveness and natural leadership well beyond his years.
Born to Samoan parents (his father is half-Chinese), Chan Kum Tong is another protegee of the successful Sea Eagles Pathways Academy.
A crafty and intelligent hooker, Chan Kum Tong made a huge impression in his two NRL games at the back end of the 2023 season, leading to Test selection for Samoa.
Chan Kum Tong is contracted to the end of 2024.
Away from rugby league, Chan Kum Tong is keen to do some disability support work.
