Cowboys forward Shaun Fensom.

NRL Signings Tracker: Cowboys release seven players

The North Queensland Cowboys have confirmed Kane Linnett, Lachlan Coote, Shaun Fensom, Sam Hoare, Josh Chudleigh, Kyle Laybutt and Shaun Hudson will all leave the club.

The seven players have been released and join retiring duo Johnathan Thurston and Antonio Winterstein in exiting the club.

The Wests Tigers have boosted their forward stocks for the next three seasons with the signing of Roosters second-rower Ryan Matterson.

Matterson will join the Tigers on a three-year deal, with the Roosters flush for back-row options with the rise of Victor Radley and the signing of Angus Crichton from Souths.

The Manly Sea Eagles have lost another five-eighth with Tom Wright leaving the club for Super Rugby franchise the ACT Brumbies.

Wright joins Jackson Hastings and Warriors five-eighth Blake Green as pivots to have left the embattled Manly club in the last 12 months.

The South Sydney Rabbitohs have signed prop Kurt Dillon from Cronulla and utility Bayley Sironen from the Wests Tigers.

Dillon has signed on through to the end of the 2020 season with Sironen signing a one-year deal for 2019.

The Rabbitohs have also announced the re-signings of Tevita 'Junior' Tatola, Mark Nicholls and Jacob Gagan for 2019, and a new five-year deal for star forward Sam Burgess keeping him at Souths until 2023.

Panthers forward Corey Harawira-Naera will switch to Canterbury next season on a four-year deal, while Canterbury have confirmed half Matt Frawley and forwards Asipeli Fine and Clay Priest will not be re-signed for 2019.

Fine is currently exploring interest from Super League while Frawley remains hopeful of landing a start at a rival NRL outfit.

The trio will be farewelled alongside fellow departees Brett and Josh Morris (Roosters and Sharks respectively) and Greg Eastwood at the Bulldogs final home game against Cronulla on Sunday.

Meanwhile Broncos coach Wayne Bennett has confirmed centre Tom Opacic will be released to join the Cowboys next season, while Wests Tigers are set to announce the signing of up-and-coming Roosters outside back Paul Momirovski for next season, with the NSW junior representative moving to Concord on a two-year deal from 2019.
