Former NSW Origin forward Tariq Sims will leave Melbourne after signing a two-year deal with Catalans.
The 33-year-old recently told NRL.com he was hoping to stay at the Storm but is now likely to finish his career with the French Super League club.
"I’m excited to add to the team my experience and what I’ve learnt over the past 13 years in the NRL," Sims said in a statement.
"My desire to compete and challenge myself both on and off the field is motivating to me, and I believe being at the Catalans will do that. It’ll be a new chapter for myself and my family, but we are very excited for it."
Melbourne have also announced the departure of half Jayden Nikorima at the end of the 2023 season.
The Rabbitohs, meanwhile, have re-signed back-rower Michael Chee Kam and halfback Dean Hawkins until the end of 2024.
Chee Kam played 16 games in 2023 to take his career tally to 116 NRL games while Hawkins made two appearances at five-eighth this season.
“It’s great to sign professionals like Dean and Michael for another season,” said Rabbitohs head of football Mark Ellison.
Titans forward Moeaki Fotuaika has locked in his long-term future, re-signing with the club until the end of 2027.
Coming off the back of winning the club's NRL Player of the Year award, Fotuaika also made his return to the State of Origin arena for Queensland in what has been arguably his best season to date.
Fotuaika joins fellow representative players in Tino Fa’asuamaleaui, David Fifita and AJ Brimson in staying with the Titans who will be coached by Des Hasler next season.
Parramatta have announced contract extensions for key forwards Bryce Cartwright and Wiremu Greig after consistent seasons in 2023 while hooker Josh Hodgson has announced he will retire and move into a coaching role with the Eels effective immediately.
Meanwhile, the Sea Eagles have extended five-eighth Jake Arthur, centre Brad Parker and utility Dean Matterson through until the end of 2025.
Arthur and Parker's extensions come after Manly signed young prop Aitasi James on a two-year deal from the Wests Tigers and extended forward Ethan Bullemor for a further two seasons through to the end of 2025.
The club has also extended winger Raymond Tuaimalo Vaega until the end of 2024.
Elsewhere, the Raiders have re-signed Maroons forward Corey Horsburgh on a new deal that keeps him in the national capital until the end of the 2027 season.
The Green Machine have also locked up back-rower Hudson Young for a further three seasons until the end of 2027, after extending his deal which previously ran through until the end of 2024.
Wests Tigers have upgraded and extended the contract of rising star Jahream Bula through to the end of 2027.
